CUSTOM SAWING
We start with the log and finish with rough sawn green lumber.
Sawing Cost: $100 per hour/ Minimum 3 hours
Sawblade Replacement Cost: $75.00 per blade.
Only charged if something in your log destroys our blade.
VACUUM KILN DRYING
Stella Sawmill uses a vacuum kiln to dry our wood. Wood can be dried at rates of up to 10 times faster than traditional kilns while limiting the cracking, cupping, and the discoloration.
We start with rough sawn, green lumber and finish with rough sawn, dried lumber.
Kiln Drying Price: $2.50 per board foot
FLATTENING SERVICE
We offer flattening service for customers interested in quickly moving their project to the next phase. Flattening/ Surfacing is the process used to completely flatten a rough-sawn slab. In addition to smoothing down the rough sawn marks from the mill, this process removes any warping or twisting that occurs from the drying process and saves a ton of time during the finish sanding process.
Surfacing Cost: $100 per hour
